JANUARY 2013

January 21st:          Yamhill River Pleistocene Project presentation at McMinnville High School.

January 22nd:         Mike Full, Lyle Hubbard and Sherry Logan of the Yamhill River Pleistocene Project meeting with John Gilpin discussing cataloging and indexing the Gilpin Creek fossil site specimens in the YRPP fossil log.

Also on the 22nd:  Tualatin Ice Age Trails / Yamhill River Pleisotcene Project strategy meeting:  Yvonne Addington and Danny Gilmour at Mike Full’s house at 18:00.

FEBRUARY 2013 

February 21st:          Yamhill River Pliestocene Project presentation at the Tualatin Ice Age Trails meeting at the Tualatin Heritage Center.

APRIL 2013

April 18th:          Tualatin Historical Society:  McMinnville High School Students will report on the South Yamhill River dig at the McMinnville Mammoth Site, and their discovery of Mammoth Tracks.  They will present a cast of a mammoth track for display at the Tualatin Historical Society in conjunction with the Ice Age Trails project.  The North America Research Group will be presenting a partial mammoth tusk, on loan for display to the center.

April 24th:          Dr. William Orr will be giving a presentation on Ice Age geology to the small land plot organization of Yamhill County at the McMinnville Armory.

MAY, 2013

May 16th:          WVPP speaker will be giving a presentation on recent and current Pleistocene excavations and finds to the Forest Grove Historical Society.

May 31st:          Willamette Valley Pleistocene Project speaker will be giving a presentation on Pleistocene fossils and finds to the Springfield Parks and Recreation outreach program at 13:30.

AUGUST 2013

August 12 – 18:           Institute for Archaeological Studies crew dig dates at the Woodburn High School site.

August 16 –  18:          Institute for Archaeological Studies dig date at Woodburn for the Portland Community College class.  The 16th is a classroom day, 17 & 18 are field work at the Woodburn High School site.
