                                                             JANUARY

January through April:     The Willamette Valley Pleistocene Project, in partnership with the City of Tualatin, Tualatin Historical Society, CenterCal and Cabela’s is creating resin cast replica’s of the Tualatin Mastodon Tusk and mastodon teeth for display at the City Library, City Hall, Historical Society, Cabela’s and CenterCal.

                                                            FEBRUARY

February 19th:     Ice Age Floods lecture, Tualatin Historical Society, 19:00.

February 21st:     Fossil Fest, Hatfield Marine Science Center, Newport, Oregon.

February 23rd:    Linfield College Presentation, 08:45 Pleistocene megafauna.

February 28th:    Linfield College Lab, mold making and fossil casting.  All day.

                                                                   MARCH

March 5th:        WVPP’s “Team Fujii” presents mastodon tusk replica to Cabela’s in Tualatin.

March 18th:      Linfield College Lab, mold making and fossil casting.

March 19th:        WVPP’ “Team Fujii” presents mastodon tusks to Tualatin Historical Society and City of Tualatin.

March 31st:           Salvage effort on tusk section in Willamette River.

                                                                  APRIL

April 2nd:     Pleistocene presentation to Dundee Historical Society, Community Center, 19:00.

April 6th:      Pleistocene presentations to Laurel Ridge Middle School classes all day in Sherwood.

April 10:        The “Blue Crew” takes delivery of the mastodon tusk cast for presentation to CenterCal.

April 15th:     Pleistocene presentation at Maplewood Elementary Schools, Portland, all day.

                                                                          MAY

May 30th:       WVPP exhibit at the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Summer Youth Event, EE Wilson Wildlife Refuge, 99W North of Corvallis.  All day event.

                                                                       JUNE

June 18th:      WVPP presentation at the Ice Age Floods Institute meeting, Tualatin Historical Center, 19:00.

                                                                      JULY

July 5th:          YRPP survey of North Yamhill River.  Richard Kimbell, NARG finds a baby mastodon tooth!

July 6th:          YRPP, South Yamhill River.  4H club to river site, McMammoth Site survey, plan summer excavation and play in the river!

July 7th:          YRPP, South Yamhill River.  River float, three fossils including a very large bison molar.

July 8th:          YRPP, South Yamhill River.  River float, five fossils including a partial deer cranium and a bison femoral shaft.

July 12th:          YRPP, South Yamhill River.  SCUBA survey of fossil debris fan.

July 19th, 20th:     Work crew at McMammoth Site.

July 20th – 24th:    Institute for Archaeological Studies and Woodburn High School excavation at Legion Park, Mill Creek, in Woodburn.

July 26th:          YRPP, South Yamhill River.  River float, the “Blue Crew”!

July 27th:          YRPP, South Yamhill River.  River float, 4H club!

July 29th:        WVPP display at the Bridgeport Village summer youth event, 10:00 to 13:00.

                                                                 AUGUST

August 8th:     NARG Fossil Fest, all day at the Rice Museum.

August 17th -20th:  Institute for Archaeological Studies and Woodburn High School excavation at Woodburn High School, Mill Creek, in Woodburn.

August 22nd & 23rd:     Institute for Archaeological Studies and Woodburn High School excavation at Woodburn High School, Mill Creek, in Woodburn.

                                                                SEPTEMBER

September 5th, 6th, & 7th:     (TENTATIVE) YRPP will facilitate opening the City of McMinnville Mammoth Site for a picked team of scientists to investigate the ithnology of the site: mammoth, sloth & bison tracks.
